Snapshot copies a piece of any page as line work you can paste to scale. Cut Content copies that piece and blanks it, or only blanks it. Color Processing recolors this page, a region, a range, or the whole document. All three are in review, so they are on at layrbuild.dev and off on layrbuild.app. A pasted picture is listed as an Image, and its Border and Background follow the other tools.
G, or All Tools › Clip & Color, frames part of any page in either viewer: a drawing, a spec, a front-end document or an addendum. Drag a rectangle, or click corners for a polygon. Close the polygon by clicking the first corner, double-clicking, or pressing Enter. Backspace removes the last corner. Markups reads With markups or Drawing only, and that choice is remembered in this browser. The capture lands under the cursor on paste. When both sheets have a scale it lands at its real size: cut where 1" = 10' and pasted where 1" = 5', it is twice as big. To scale keeps it fitted when the sheet under it changes, including a viewport. Resizing it by hand turns To scale off. The same capture goes out as a picture for Outlook, Word or Teams; Layr's own paste keeps the line work. Factory is no border, no background, original colors, and To scale on.
Shift+G frames the same way. Cut copies the piece, then blanks it on the sheet for everyone. Erase only blanks it. The PDF in storage is not rewritten, which is why Restore content can put it back: right-click the blank where no markup is, or undo. Hiding a layer does not bring the content back. A read-only member cannot erase. The copy is taken from the untouched page, so it keeps the line work that was there.
The tool opens a card. Apply to starts on This page, or a Region you frame, a page range such as 1-3, 7, or All pages. Pick one color from the palette. White's place is empty, because white inks nothing. Before and After show the region, or the page, as it will look. Apply recolors it. Restore original puts that page's own colors back. All pages and a page range are for write members: each other page is written as shared page state, and a page you have open is left to that editor. Right-click a recolored area for Restore colors. A selected Snapshot has the same colors on its own chip, including Original, and that chip recolors only that snapshot.
A pasted picture and a Snapshot share Border and Background. The Color popover has those two parts and no All parts, and it opens on Border. Background paints behind the picture. It starts at full strength for white and a quarter for any other color, until its slider sets it. Border can be off, and it can be a Cloud, with that tool's weight, scallop and edge. Turning a border back on uses the color it had, or red if it never had one. A clicked polygon's border and background follow those corners. The outline lists a pasted picture or a placed file as an Image. Only a capture made with Snapshot is a Snapshot.
eraseRegions and colorRegions live in the existing page_states.state JSON. Production applies nothing new when this release merges. Do not apply anything by hand.tool:snapshot, tool:cut-content and tool:color-processing are review. On at layrbuild.dev and locally, off on layrbuild.app. Flipping one to released is a later change in src/domain/features/features.ts, not a database write.tool:ann-image stays review and now sits under Clip & Color. The file picker stays off in production. ui:pasteImages stays released, so Ctrl+V still places a picture on layrbuild.app.POST /api/projects/{id}/color-processing recolors All pages or a page range. Write members only. GET /api/projects/{id}/color-processing?pageId= returns that document's name and its pages, in book order, for the card. Any member may read it. No new table. Both routes are classed project in the route ACL registry./Layr, so a re-import comes back as a vector snapshot. A source that cannot be read falls back to the preview picture. ./layr bluebeam check compares an export against Revu on a machine that has Revu; ./layr bluebeam receipts warns, without Revu, and is not part of CI.0.28.0.
